Play NES Online (the "Website") is a non-commercial web project dedicated to the archival, preservation, and study of classic 8-bit video games. It operates as an educational and nostalgia tribute portal.
All game titles, ROM configurations, system specifications, graphics, characters, music, and software code related to retro games or consoles depicted on this Website are the exclusive intellectual property and trademarked assets of their respective owners, developers, and publishers (including but not limited to Nintendo Co., Ltd., Capcom, Konami, Sega, and Namco Bandai).
This Website does not distribute commercial games for profit. Emulation runs client-side using the open-source JSNES framework. Custom ROM files uploaded via the "Upload NES ROM" feature are processed locally in your browser memory and saved in your device's IndexedDB cache. They are never uploaded, shared, or stored on our servers.
The content provided on this Website is intended solely for educational, historical, and archival preservation purposes. We believe that keeping retro software accessible helps promote historical video game culture and technical knowledge.
We respect intellectual property rights. If you are a copyright holder or an authorized representative and believe that editorial text, imagery, links, or other published material on this Website infringes your rights, please contact us through our Contact Page with sufficient details. We will review the request promptly.
